A factory trailer hitch and wiring harness are 2 that immediately come to mind.

Accessories are items that you would buy from your Authorized Chevrolet Dealer - such as floor mats, clocks, tissue dispenser, wheel covers, etc.
Could also include much more complicated installations such as Air Conditioning!

Regular Production Options - RPO are installed at the Chevrolet Final Assembly Plant. Some "Accessory" items were included in the originlal build.
http://www.corvairkid.com/]Kent Sullivan's "CorvairKid.com[/url] website has a great article about the percentage of RPO installations.

Production statistics exist for the RPO list, but the Accessories list is much more difficult to determine.
It depends alot on the dealer's emphasis on selling accessories. Some were quite aggressive with coordinated efforts between Sales, Parts & Service Departments. They would mail out enticing full color folders to the buyers provided by Chevrolet to help them sell, and would stock their Parts department with plenty of goodies and have them displayed.

The AM/FM Delco Radio is a Vairy popular accessory these days, but was quite expensive in the 1960s & very few stations - so not many were sold.
Lots of guys like to add as much as they can find and then some! I'm kinda like that!

Performance options were also on the short list - Quick steering and HD suspension are two that were quite unusual. I'd imagine that a Monza factory equipped with N44 Quick steering and F41 HD suspension would be most unusual - but the only way to prove it's originality would be the original window sticker, order sheet or warranty plate (Protect-0-Plate)

Hey so 68-69 were offered with factory shoulder belts on corvairs? I seen it on camaros but was told it wasn't for corvairs. I have a 68 I would like to get them in.

I'm actually rather proud of my "no radio" '66. Since it didn't have a factory radio, there are all kinds of doo-dads it doesn't have, such as coil and regulator capacitors o engine static straps.

68 and 69 coupes came standard with shoulder belts. This same style was used on other GM models up to the 1972 model year. 1973 was the first year for retractable shoulder belts. 1968 was the first year for the optional front shoulder belts on a convertible. I have yet to see a 68 convertible with them but I have seen them on a friends 69. Rear shoulder belts were listed for coupes in 68 and 69 but no one knows if any were actually built.

How about oddball(and rare) accessories on FC's? Under seat locking drawer, cargo net, window screens, spotlight, highway safety kit, tool kit. Anyone name some more? BTW I'm looking for any of these! EddieB Dade City,fl

My Corsa was delivered that way. I have the sales receipt that shows the original radio was dealer installed. Someone got lazy and did not install the static suppressors in the front wheel bearing caps, static straps and capacitors. The holes were not drilled for them either. Someone ended up with the hardware bags in their tool box.
