Anybody on here from Edgar Springs, MO

I saw a nice blue LM there today, and wondered if the owner was on here.

I'm fairly close to Edgar Springs but I've not yet met or seen any other LMs. Did you also happen to see the 2 EMs at the Mule Trading Post in Rolla? He's got a red sedan and a white coupe.

There's a white coupe there now too? I drive down to Springfield from St. Louis a few times a month and always see the red '60 sedan.

No, where is that at? I go that way every other week for work. The blue LM, was at a house West of 63, just before the hard right curve, right side of the road. There is a garage, a little ways behind the house, it was parked in front of that.

The white couple is on the west side of his store. You can see it from I-44 if you look beyond the red sedan, it's kinda downhill. He's had them for as long as I can remember. They haven't ran in years. I stopped in and talked to the owner once. Nice guy. I get the impression that he's content to leave the EMs as they sit for curiosity pieces. He also has an old el Camino that he restored and drives.

I drive by the place every other weekend on my way to St Louis.

It's an exit or two east of Rolla on the south side of I-44. The sign is a big hillbilly looking guy with a cowboy hat and long, skinny arms.

While cruising nortbound on 44 this evening I saw a black EM coupe parked in a storage lot along the highway. It's on the south side of 44 just south of exit 208, the Cuba exit. I couldn't tell if it had a for sale sign or not.

I owned that 1960 red sedan back in the day. Was a nice car with body side damage.

I passed by this car again yesterday and got a better look at it. It DOES have a for sale sign in it. The paint is faded badly but it appears straight. I'm zipping by at 70MPH so it's hard to tell. The grill bar is the one that's continuous all the way across. I'm not an EM guy but I think that's a '64?

On my latest trip to Springfield, I saw that the same lot at the Cuba exit now has TWO EM coupes for sale. The black one is still there and now there is a red coupe sitting next to it! Both cars have faded paint and appear unwrecked from the front...again evaluated while driving by on the highway.

Updating this old thread...

I drive from St. Louis to Springfield MO about once a month. The two EM Corvairs, a red and a white one, that sat outside the mule trading post are now gone. It looks like the mule trading post might be closing. It's been a landmark for decades. Further north on the highway I saw another red and white pair of EMs at a lot that has a large steel quonset hut looking storage building, on the south side of the highway.

South of Rolla (somewhere in the hundred or so miles to Springfield) there is now a rough EM vert for sale on the north side of the highway. It was by itself for a few months but has now been joined by two other antique cars in rough shape. There's also a bright blue painted LM sitting in a large lot on the north side of the highway. Doesn't appear to be for sale.

I believe that Edgar Springs is where John and Theresa Miller are located (not exactly sure). They are between Rolla and Springfield North of I44 located on old Rte 66 (or near it anyway - I've not been there).
