Craig that's great info. I haven't got to that yet but will and I have saved this info for then.

And I know the headache of going thru a gas heater. Got mine going and had a buddy with a 64 that had a gas heater. He dropped off the car and asked me to get the heater working. It is tedious going thru them especially having to take it apart for some of the repair work. I got his going so he would have heat for the winter, and he then sold the car. But at least he could say the heater worked.

But thanks for your pics and explaining what you did. I looked at it and thought I should be able to use the mig, instead of gas, so now I know it will work. Its just that the stainless is so thin, I wasn't sure how much heat it could take.

I have a cad of the exhaust pipe someone posted on here a couple of years ago, giving the dimensions and bends to make the pipe. But yours looks just fine.

Great job, young man!

Craig replies: Last spring, a friend in Calgary bought the '60. I sold it to finance the re-purchase of my first car, a '66 Corsa Sprint convertible. That car is going to the body shop this week for repair of the rust under the rear seat and a general ironing out before paint.
