Found this Beauty Sleeping in a garage last week. Picking it up Wednesday along with a stash of NOS and used parts, was a package deal.

I like the color and the wheels. The top, not so much! But I have to admit; that's one handsome car!

Great looking Corvair. I can even excuse the side rub strips 'cause folks back then used to drive their cars daily and the door dings accumulate quickly when they are used like that.

Great find!

That looks like houndstooth material that ford used.

He should have used a color that matched the interior and the A-Pillar should have been covered as well.

I like it a lot! And that's coming from someone who usually doesn't like the vinyl tops! Not much I would change on that car visually!

The car was owned by Bob Holt, a HACOA member, who passed in May. He was given the car by his grandfater back in 1978, lots of history. Bob showed the car at several Mall shows sponsored by the club in the 80s and 90s. When his son Chris ask if we come take look at the car last week we were amazed on how clean the car was. It hadn't been moved for several years. Bob took care of his stuff.

Yeah, Dad says he like this one from the pics, so it will be a keeper for him to drive. Trying to get him back into a Corvair and this looks like something he would have had in the early seventy's.
