Since 1994, I have used the Pertronix 1 wired directly to the coil also. I also
have the flamethrower coil and Bosch platinum plugs. This system has worked
flawlessly (knock wood) for me since 1994.......

Does this mean fed through the resistor wire? You didn't mention which Flamethrower coil.

No. My Petronix 1 is directly wired to the coil with both the red and black
wires. I have the Flamethrower 1 coil listed in the Clarks catalog as part#
C11401. Will most likely use this setup in my Corsa convertible once the
restoration is close to completion. Both my Corvairs are 1966 year models.

I have since put points back in both my corsas. I consider them hardened against the coming EMP strike. I can give you guys a lift if you need one smiling smiley

Directly wire to the coil doesn't answer the question since the coil is normally fed by the resistor wire. ???
