It has been for sale for about 3 months now. I am not sure if is the same person. It was for sale outside of Philadelphia and then in Philadelphia and now in Blackwood, NJ. The price was very cheap when first advertised and then it was for sale in Philadelphia for $4500 which makes me think someone bought it to "flip" it for profit. But there is something fishy with it and that is the reason it is still for sale.

How about "It didn't sell at $4500 so I'm going to drop the price and get it gone"?

Like I said, I am pretty sure it is a flipper who bought it cheap the first time it was for sale. I would think that if it was something good that one of the guys from the Philly or NJACE club would have jumped on it. I could be wrong as I have not looked at it myself, but something seemed fishy.

Wow! Even if rusted out at $2K/offer its easily worth that for parts. The A/C looks complete and still hooked up.

I was thinking that if anything itd be great for parts. Nothing like having a junk a/c car when putting a/c in your nice car.

I just cam back from looking at this car.
Story is pretty much as I suspected. First time it was on CL was by a long time owner and sold it cheap to a guy in Philadelphia who was a flipper. That guy was the one that was asking $4500 for it. The guy who has it now is named Mark and he bought it for his son. I am not sure how much he paid, but he admitted the pictures his son posted online make it look better than it actually is.
So here is what I saw.....
it is an original 66 Monza sedan with factory air that he claims works. I noticed the mercury switch is missing from the right side hinge.
Engine is the original RK coded 110 with a date code of T0928. It runs and sounds good and is dry underneath. Oil is dirty and the filter is very old.
Original high amp alternator is gone.
Trans is a Powerglide. Fluid looks good. I did not engage trans.
Body tag shows build date on 10A (1st week of October) so engine is probably original.
It still has all of it's original Soft Ray tinted glass. All a/c stuff is still present in trunk including brackets welded to floor.
Only other options I see are day night mirror and the push button am radio.
Tag shows Fisher options as E2EM which is the tint glass, air conditioning and Powerglide.
Colors were originally K-K for Artesian Turquois
758 trim for black.
Body is ROUGH. Typical east coast rust in all corners. Lots of filler. The left front door is so bad that the lower hinge is broken loose on the door.
Trunk floor is solid. Left rear lower looks like it might have had an extension put in. Battery tray is rusty. Floors are bad and have aluminum plates just laying over the rusted floors. The carpet is the bulk carpet from the FLAPS and when I pulled it up I noticed someone used white latex caulk to glue it down.
This is a parts car. The guys said he would like to get $1000 for it which I think is entirely fair considering the a/c parts (low mount compressor) and the good running engine and tinted 4 door glass (if that is your thing).
I would go for it but I already have enough stuff and just do not feel like taking another car apart right now.

Thanks for the report. Too bad it's so ate up. I hope he didn't pay the $4500 for it. Shame.

Too bad it is a bucket. I thought '66 A/C had a "high pressure muffler". I know my '66 140HP has a muffler on the A/C compressor. Was it a change made at a certain date? Or was it only on the 140s? My '67 A/C car (110) has a muffler.

I'd say 1000 for it is pretty good considering what all you get. if anyone snatches it up to part out I am in need of some a/c stuff I'll buy off them. Can't go get it myself though.
