() Date: January 21, 2014 10:46AM Hi Dave, Great compilation of information! Thanks for sharing it with us. Already in a quick scan came across several topics I've not seen covered before. Would you like to get contributions of updates and additional information to capture? If so, perhaps a suggestion would be to add a "revised" date and info of what was changed somewhere within each document - to make it easier to track updates. Thanks!!! () Date: January 08, 2021 11:35AM Hello David Trull, I just had the opportunity to use the trim and accessory code tables provided by you in your Corvair Gold pdf at [www.monzamotion.com] The car in question was a '62 Monza Convertible with factory air conditioning, which is a rare bird. The codes matched the description of the car perfectly. Thank you so much for keeping this out there on the internet. Question: May I have permission to take the tables and have them published in the CORSA Communique magazine? Naturally, we'd give you full credit for your great work. CORSA has extensive tables for looking up VINs, engine casting codes, cylinder head codes, etc. but I've never been able to find lookup tables for the trim and accessory codes before I found your Corvair Gold this morning. () Date: January 09, 2021 05:45AM Dave Trull, Love the book. Might be worth adding some updates to it. Might I suggest the following: In addition to your excellent piece on the changes made from the '65 to the '66 model year, you could add my article on the changes they made from '66 to '67 that appeared in the October 2016 CC. I also have a type-written "short list" of those changes that were never a part of the CC article that I'd gladly send to you. Another addition could be the automatic trans floor shift conversion kit that Ansen originally offered for EM cars, which was the basis for my completely reengineered version that is available through Clark's, and is made to fit all Corvair cars. I could furnish you with material for that inclusion, if you so desired. -Mark Re: Corvair Gold ![]() Posted by:

() Date: January 09, 2021 03:43PM I've had a copy of Corvair Gold for years. I still refer to it, and since Dave offered it for free, I have given copies out to people often. Still a 'gold mine,' as they say. ____________________________________________ Eric C. () Date: January 12, 2021 07:38PM Yes Mark, I have been thinking about some updates, and I am also thinking about putting out a published version for those who want a paper book version. Publishing is much easier than it was when I first wrote it. I have updated it a bit since I uploaded it. Allen, I'd be honored if you use the tables in the Communique. cheers Dave Trull Bigwave Dave Trull, Sierra Vista Arizona Former owner 1966 Turbo Convertible Pilots 23 & 27 Former owner 1969 Convertible #5997 ![]() Re: Corvair Gold ![]() Posted by:

() Date: January 14, 2021 11:12AM Maybe contact Steve Magnante of Roadkill, junk yard gold. he has written books and with the power of Motortrend behind him, can likely sell a Corvair book. You would need to work with him so your information is all there and not edited into yet another story about the terrible Corvair.
