() Date: January 19, 2014 04:05PM I have been writing and compiling Corvair information for a number of years, hoping to publish it locally someday. Now with the advent of the information age and the internet, I've put the files for the book on a server for all those who wish to read it, to be able to download load it. Its called "Corvair Gold" and is broken up into 5 parts and a table of Contents. Let me be clear that I am NOT an Author by profession, so it will not be polished like a published works, but I hope you find it helpful and informative. There are also a few other Doc files of info in the directory, so feel free to download any of these files. It is in the Word Doc format and you can download and print out your own book copy if you desire. I am posting a link for "Corvair Gold", I hope you enjoy it. () Date: January 19, 2014 09:37PM for some reason, i had problems opening the files. i had to change the extensions to get them to work on my computer (.docx had to be changed to .doc, and everything else had to be changed to .pdf), but it works! () Date: January 20, 2014 05:24AM Files labelled as .doc are for earlier versions of MS Word. Those versions can't read .docx files, but if you have a recent version of Word, you can open a .doc file. () Date: January 20, 2014 08:12AM Dave, I will second what the others have mentioned. CORSA really should pick up on this and either support it by way of publishing it or as mentioned at least make the information available on their website. What a labor of love. () Date: January 20, 2014 03:20PM Very impressive! I am a semi-professional author, having published two modestly successful books on the history of motorcycle racing in the United States. Here's a link to my books: [www.dairylandclassic.com] I would be happy to help point you in the right direction if you wanted to get this published in book form. Send me a PM if you like. () Date: January 20, 2014 03:29PM Hi Bigwave, What a great work of a lifetime. Wonderful. I can tell that you have spent years and years collecting all this information.Thank you for making it available to all of us. A couple of items come to mind. In the Internet tips yopu state (at least I think those are your words) about page 9 on the center-mount Holley. Almost everything said in the past and near past has been anecdotal type of reporting. No measurements, except for Bob Helt's statement about a dyno test. But even Bob doesn't give us the controls, the variables. I've never seen a back to back test between the two systems. I witnessed this dyno run and took some data and we did do a back to back test then. If you are interested in including it in your posting, please contact me and let me know what controls and variables you might be interested in too. Regards, Bob Helt Re: Corvair Gold ![]() Posted by:

() Date: January 20, 2014 07:47PM Thanks Guys! I appreciate the good word! ![]() This project was always something I found enjoyable, and I am very glad that so many Forum Members feel it will be useful and hopefully, interesting reading. There are a few things I am still working on that I will be adding to dropbox later that will be part of Corvair Gold. I'll post when it gets added. In the meantime.....Enjoy the book! () Date: January 20, 2014 08:16PM Thank you for posting this! This is great. On a silly note - I squealed to myself seeing a picture of not just one like - but a picture of my actual fitch sprint steering wheel that is in my daily driver turbo. Re: Corvair Gold ![]() Posted by:
