Nick—. Beautiful car! Question- where did you mount the fuel pump controller? I have one for my car.

Thanks!

Under the dash, to the right of the center tunnel cover.

Thanks Nick— sorry if this is a dumb question— is that inside the car under the dash on the drivers side?

No...to the right of the center tunnel would be on the passenger's side, just to the right of the centerline of the car. This facilitated running the purple wire down to the fuel pump under the tunnel cover, as well as the signal wires to the fusebox. I drew power from a 30A relay that I have mounted under the rear seat, this relay is run directly off the battery also powers my Safeguard ignition system. The controller came with more than enough wire to run this, no splicing of additional wire was needed.

Matt my hope is to see market value for the car per Hagerty's valuation tool at Concours quality, which IMO is reasonable.

I don't expect some insane number and certainly won't come close to any sort of profit on this project. I look at any losses as the "cost of the hobby".

The car sold for $34,250 on Bring A Trailer: [bringatrailer.com]

The new owner, Brad, is here yesterday and today checking out the car and it ships out to him in North Carolina tomorrow.

Here's a photo of his first drive in the car yesterday. Great guy and the car is going to a great home!

Wrapping up this mammoth thread! Last weekend Brad, the new owner, flew out to go over the car with me on Friday and Saturday AM, then the shipper picked up the car on Sunday to transport it to Brad's home in North Carolina. He's the right guy for this car, owned one many years ago and wanted a perfect Spyder to enjoy and show in his area. Congrats to Brad, and thanks so much to everyone here who helped me with the restoration. The car will be missed but it's going to a great home and will be well cared for. As with any collector/fun car I have owned I always make a handshake deal with the buyer...If you ever decide to sell it, I get first right to buy it back before you advertise it for sale. Who knows, maybe it will come back to me someday!

Best wishes everyone! Here are some photos of Brad and the car (posted with his permission), as well as saying farewell to the car last Sunday:

Just adding an exclamation point to this great thread. The car was entered in the Cruisin’ at the Cape Car Show yesterday down in Cape Carteret, NC. Nice show with some stiff competition. Won Best GM and Best of Show! Even beat an original owner ‘67 Vette and a spotless ‘63 split window coupe. Way to go, Nick! New thread has been started on the car’s coming years in NC.
