Got the 4bbl Carter AFB on and tuned in today, 400 CFM rated and quite lively to say the leastthumbs up Many thanks to Errol for the mount and carbsmileys with beer

Pics once I finish the air cleaner braces and painting, went with the '57 Mopar offset air cleaner shown above, fit rather well.

Just got through installing the oil pan and valve covers so I figured I might as well take a pic of the engine with it running. Still have to run a hard line to the carb and make the braces for the monster of a air cleanersmoking smiley

Looks like it almost came that way from the factory. Looking forward to hearing how it runs.

The vintage look is what I wanted, and it fits pretty well too which is hard to do with a 4bbl turbo. It will look alot better once it's all painted and detailed.

It runs much smoother that it did with the YH, idle is great now. Power gain testing will have to wait untill after the clutch and diff are repaired, weak clutch soaked with gear oil just won't hold on boostthumbs down

Next on the list of mods is A/C, but with a twist, nothing in the engine bay. The compressor will be in the trunk with the evaporator, 12 volt DC brushless compressorgrinning smiley Draws around 30amps which isn't nearly as bad as the old A6 in terms of horsepower, plus no added heat and mess in a already stuffed engine bay with a turbocool smiley

Likely won't get done with the install in time to be of use this season but at least I'll have it for next year. There will be plenty of pics and updates as I get the setup in and the bugs worked out, which I'm sure there will be, but hey I can run the A/C with the engine off ('till the battery goes dead)grinning smiley

So far I have got the condenser mounting figured out, have to get the rest of the A/C parts to do much more ATM. Going with factory A/C for everything inside the car so it will look stock but that's where it ends.

Well after nearly four years of falling off the face of the earth for various reasons I'm finally back to were I can get some work done on my 'vair. Updates to come as I get the old gal road worthy once again.

What a mess I found when I pulled the transmission to replace the flywheel, loose rivets were expected, the fubar pilot bushing and pressure plate bolts hitting the bell housing bolts not so much.

Everything that could be wrong was, washers on the lower bell housing bolts, split ring free floating, the rebuilt pressure plate was packed with friction material between the spring and housing and best of all was the "replacement" flywheel was not fit for a core due to having been run loose.

At the moment the AC conversion is way low on the list of priorities sadly, I will get back to it once everything else is squared away.

Is that a full metallic disc or a dual friction. The full metallic/kevlar are BRUTAL on the trans axle. Don't power shift with it. I broke a main shaft with one in a 65 4 speed. Learned that lesson!

The clutch disc is a Velvetouch full ceramic, I'm sure something is most definitely going to break if I'm not very careful smoking smiley

Well I guess I just messed up, been looking for a coupe for parts for a while and just found a pair, one a heavily rusted '65 110/4spd the other a minor surface rust only '66 140/4spd. You might be wondering why I consider myself to have messed up, the problem is the '66 is a Corsa in comparable shape if not better than my current Monza. Now I have to decide which one is the better of the two or just restore both grinning smiley
