A little more forward progress today. Got the headlight buckets sanded and primed. Then I shot the color on the inside and the splatter paint on the outside. For the splatter paint, I used the Duplicolor formula. I really don;t like it...to much green undertone. I plan to redo it with something else. Can't win them all I guess.

Pics are a little dark..fading afternoon clouds...

A little more progress today. Too cold to work in the garage, so I cleaned up the tail light housings and painted them. Here's a couple pics. Third one has lenses just sitting in the housings. Need to order the foam seals before I can screw them in.

I realized I forgot to add me "before" pic of my hood. Some of you may recognize it. It is from a friend's car before he sold the vehicle!

It hurt me to do it, but it had to be done...

With my wife's help, I got the car all back together again today. Installed both doors, front panel below the windshield, rear air intake grill, hood and trunk lid. Fits back together pretty well. A few panel gaps to fiddle with but overall I am pleased with it. I'm going to block sand it, prime one more time, then paint the jambs and move onto final paint. I'm doing a interior color change to, so I have to still have to prep the dash and all interior painted surfaces. NO shortages of things to do!

Just keep rockin on it. Your making great progress. I always say, I look and admire what is done, instead of what needs to be done. Doing the quality work you are doing, makes looking back even more gratifying.
It really get exciting when the work list gets shorter and shorter!smileys with beer

Thanks Dave. I just ordered a quart of Zolatone for the trunk paint. It was on sale and I figured its better to have it sitting around until after the car gets painted that to not be able to track it down later for a good price.

Thanks guys. I wish I had more time to work on it so I could finish the darn thing.

I got a quart of zolatone in the mail today. I will probably wait until the exterior is painted befor I o the trunk though. I figure I can put that quart on my desk as a reminder each day to get my butt in gear...smiling smiley

Took a break from the body work and switched to some small interior projects this afternoon since I got off work early. I am changing the interior over from the fawn color to black. Since my kick panels and windshield pillar covers were worn but not shot, I decided to pain them with Duplicolor's flexible paint. I opted for the Satin finish...just the right amount of sheen.

You could have left the trans mount and rods in the car and unbolted the trans from the mount. Why fix what isn't broke?

A little more progress. Everything is cleaned and painted. Also Got upper and lower ball joints a-arm bushings, and camber bolt bushings in today. I love my press!

Just waiting on HD springs from Clarks and it can go back together, including the quick steering arms and the upgrade to disc brakes!
