I am doing a frame off, if you will, on my 65 vert. This car has very little rust. I would like to do some sort of rust treatment to the inside of the rocker panels before it goes to paint. I've cleaned out all the rocks, dirts, and what looked like a rats nest out of the rockers. My question is, has anyone built a device to fog/spray the full length of the inside of the rockers? If so, I would love to see what you came up with. Thanks for your help.

IIRC.... most put the spray wand through the plugged holes in front and rear wheel wells.

I did read someones post a while back, and it seems like they used a long piece of tubing with a home made head on it and sprayed POR15 in there. I did a search but didn't fine that post.

Eastwood makes a product for spraying inside the rockers. I believe it is called Internal Frame Coating.

I did see a video on You tube on the Eastwood product. My concern is with the short flexible hose that it comes with. The rockers are about six foot from front to back and I don't see how to get good coverage without some sort of rigid tube with a spray head.

Just cut the end of the rigid tube... so that you fold the end up....causing a spray pattern of maybe 270 degree?

I used black Krylon with a nozzle from the WD40 can. I shot it inside and just let it flow from one end to the other. Here is a picture of the inside before painting. I never did shoot it afterwards. A good idea to repaint at least every year. I drilled two holes in the fender wheel and use a small stainless steel screw to plug it. Just slip the WD40 straw inside and let it rip with the black paint. That Eastwood stuff is good as well.

I used Eastwoods frame coating added additional tubing to thier setup and taped the tubing to a long 1/4 pc of rod 4 ft long. Inserted from each side of rocker.

I have pondered on that problem for awhile and I was always afraid that I would get too much in 1 spot and cause the water not to flow freely. Just an idea but I thought about "Extend" or something like it because it will not accumulate anywhere and it is still working on some stuff after a lot of years.

Thanks guys for all your ideas. I ordered the Eastwood treatment today and plan to add to the hose that comes with it. I had some old 1/4 inch brake line that will help guide that little limp hose and give some control to the nozzle.
