forsale
Transmission: 4-speed
Engine: 180hp; 164 cubic inches
Number of Cylinders: 6
Mileage 108,963
Exterior Color: silver
Interior Color: black
Body Type: convertible
Vehicle Title: clear

This car is 1 of approximately 570 turbocharged Corsas built in 1966. It has a very early 1966 production number (see picture of tag). The carburetor and turbocharger were recently rebuilt by Clark’s. It still has some 1965 features i.e. the emblem is still on the hood instead of on the front next to the headlight. It drives great. The bad news is that the car was recently run into while it was parked. The good news is that it comes with a rust free 1966 Corvair parts car. The parts car has a power convertible top. $5,500. This car is in Sonoma, CA. Please call Randy with any questions 707-974-8061.

More bad news:
The Fisher Body I.D plate shown does not indicate a factory turbocharged Corsa Convertible.

And boy that crunched fender looks to be loaded with bondo? But with a parts car its not a bad deal,,but not a original turbo car?

Does anybody know what that box with switches is on the dash below the wiper and headlight switch?

I'll have to admit that I'm diggin' the two-digit body sequence number.

Nice project.

As said, not a factory turbo car.

My 140 Corsa vert was made shortly after yours, week after? smiling smiley

FYI - That front hood has been replaced. All of the '66's had the script on the panel. I own/owned 2 sub 100 VIN 66's and the only '65 parts on either was the thin sun visors and the Corsa dash had a pin stripe.

Interesting.

I am going to guess (assuming the parts car is straight and rust free) that it would be easier and a better idea to paint the parts car then transfer the parts over rather then try to fix that rather extensive damage on the original (which would need a good amount of paint anyway).

Would make a good "full scale model kit" for someone. Once you got the body painted, its all unbolting and bolting.

Looks like the smaller bolts in the fan shroud to head, also. Iffin my eyes are woikin right.
Still I agree that for the right price a nice car could be made with this one. I really don't like the nasty crunch.... what a shame, it was vary beautiful before that sad collision... dernn-it!

I wonder what the parts car is....I don't think the body damage is that bad.
