Finally replaced my rusty leaking PG pan and pitman arm bushing, with a shout out to Dave Motohead for his video on the bushing.

Today I installed a pair of refurbished headlight buckets I purchased from another member here and am very happy with them as it saved me time and effort I simply did not want to deal with at this point.
I chose to install clear parking/signal lenses because I like the look better but will use 1157NA bulbs behind them.
For now, the headlight bulbs that were in the van got reinstalled but replacements are on the short list to replace them. They look like crap but do work.
Other than that, I installed side door and license plate rubber bumpers.

The rear, side 1/4 windows are partially installed at this point but still need to be finished.
After that comes the windshield gasket replacement which will be left to others. I am considering a new windshield but have not yet made the commitment.

Also on the short list for replacement are headlight trim rings.
I am also looking for the Chevrolet emblem for the rear passenger side door. I have two that need rechromed but would prefer a very nice used one or maybe NOS if one is out there.

It wasn't today, but it was recent. I got some Testors model enamel and tried to spruce up the engine emblem. Also the tailgate emblem on my El Camino. I gotta say: coloring in the lines is hard!

I figured since the rest of the car is blue I ought to put a different color on the front emblem. I went for orange because I was thinking of Chevy engine paint, but I think I should have done red.

Yesterday's accomplishments: Spyder is up on the lift, carb/turbo & turbo outlet pipe off, all topside connections off, just a few items remain and then the powerpack comes out.

Why, you might ask? To install this 4-spd transmission rebuilt by J. Kehler (RIP)

Working on it as time permits but once done, I'll update the thread.

The '60 sedan I am jointly working on with a friend. Here is it at the upholstery shop - getting a bit more work then I had planned on, but should come out nice. Refinishing some of the paintwork while it is all apart.

Yup, and the inside too. Everything that was alligatored got smoothed out for new red paint. Red on red with a general attempt at maintaining the stock silver seat pattern.

Not mine, but finally finished up a full rebuild on this 66 110 in a 65 monza convertible I have been messing with. This one was supposed to be just fuel system and brakes, but the more I medded with it, the more tired the engine became. Was hoping to have it gone before winter but I missed that by a few weeks. A few more things left to wrap up on it and then wait for better weather to get some miles on it!

hello Murphy eye popping smiley

Continuing with transmission swap hit a bit of a snag today... my old craftsman ATV/Motorcycle jack stopped working. A few days ago I did use it to drop the powerpack easily enough but today it just stopped working.

Interim solution to be able to get busted jack out from under engine is the trusty old "pipes & jackstands" approach. Used 2 jacks to lift with pipes, set on jackstands and out comes that busted atv jack.
