There is little streamlined airflow in middle of rear windshield, to vent cowl. (too much turbulance) The sides however, look like they pull air reletively smoothly into this area. Don Yenko must have found the sweet spot, in the decklid, to place his pop-up air scoops. Maybe an inverted spoiler ar rear of roof to direct air down the reae windshield. () Date: April 28, 2021 01:06PM Installing a Fitch Roof as I understand it will change the air flow. An owner I knew with a V8 Rear Engine conversion did that and installed the radiator over the transaxle with some success back in the 1970's. That car still exists today and probably with the same engineering as it had back then. 1962 95 F.C. () Date: May 02, 2021 12:49PM FUDGE!!!!! All that cleaning and painting...for naught. Is there a way to identify a turkey roaster, for an 8 or 12 fin cooler??? I can use my current roaster, but I was wanting to do a total swap. Oh well... ? () Date: May 02, 2021 12:52PM You can just cut off the ends and make that into a 12 plate shroud. You need the 12 plate block off plate and you can use it to see where to cut the top shroud. RJ tools Salem,Oregon ![]() Re: What did you WORK ON / DO....to your Corvair today? Posted by:

I can, I guess, use the correct one thaf is in service now. Just wanted to do a clean swap....not have to transfer alot of things from powerpack to powerpack. Thanks Mike '65 '500' Sedan 110 PG '65 Monza Sedan turbo'd 110 SU conversion Fresno, CA Re: What did you WORK ON / DO....to your Corvair today? Posted by:

I started on building a R&P steering system using a Chevy Cobalt rack. As with every mod it takes more time to build than you think. () Date: May 27, 2021 09:16AM I changed the starter wire from the wiring harness to the solenoid. Was having some intermittent starting issues and turns out the wire was spliced and an eyelet added, so that was likely the issue. Greased the front end and got it on the road for the first time this season. The city just started cleaning the streets from the gravel on the roads for winter, so I dont like the Monza out there having rocks spit at it. I havent been on the forum in a few years. Lost my login info and was just busy living, working and driving the vair. Hope everybody is doing well. 65 Monza 140/4 vert Calgary, AB ![]() Re: What did you WORK ON / DO....to your Corvair today? The ride height looks pretty good. Mine has 205/70R14 on the rear and I measured the ride height at 7.75". Its not far off the 8.5" +- 0.5" spec in the shop manual, but it appears to ride lower than some pics like yours and others. 65 Monza 140/4 vert Calgary, AB ![]() Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. |
