I'm sure the pistons are early too. Thats what they look like from the crankcase.
To be clear I will go to all late parts and keep the case. I have a good late crank on hand to swap in.

Finally top down weather here! Probably put 150 miles on it this weekend. Runs sweet but she's a beater for sure.

I also worked on my anodizing skills over the weekend for my fuel pump mod parts. I made one fuel extension ring just for myself to practice dyeing and sealing the anodized layer. Perfected my laser etching too. I'll be ready to start selling a few tomorrow and post an update to that thread in the morning.

If you are not too picky about what colors you want, > Tractor Supply < has all of the popular colors of the Major Brands. (Tractor Brands that is. )

Changed batteries in TPMS systems.. Realized it wasn't 69F today...

Time to change the batteries in the sensor caps. Three worked with a new battery... took 2 hrs. to "re-learn" how to pair the one! Old age and meds!!GGG!

Re-attached the clamp to the heater control end of the cable; epoxied it in place as this was the second time it has come loose. Gave it a couple days to fully cure and now I can turn on my heat again if needed.

Matt, I've never had to re-pair any of my sensors when they went dead.

I installed my last new set on the '66 Sport Sedan yesterday after I got the carburetors put back together. Today I moved around a few Corvairs and pushed the brush pile out farther with the tractor and trimmed some trees to make room for 6 more next week.

Jeff drove the van from where I bought it to his shop which was between 40 and 50 miles.
On the way back to his shop, we stopped and I filled Jeff's stomach a little bit.

Lately I have been experiencing an intermittent clicking sound coming from the driver's side rear wheel bearing. I fully inspected, cleaned and repacked both rear wheel bearings when I returned the van to service 4 and a half years ago. They both looked fine 4 months ago when I did my last brake inspection. I opened it up and immediately found the reason for clicking. I procured a couple of new bearings, cleaned things up,and then reinstalled the new bearings. Took a nice test drive after the fog lifted. I am happy to say that it is quiet as a church mouse.

Do you think that's normal wear-and-tear on the bearings Mel? Seems you're pretty diligent in checking, but does this seem consistent for four more years of use, or could it be something else like water intrusion washing the grease out. Or something similar perhaps.

Or maybe you're just driving it a lot!
