I’m hoping to put the detail into the PressurizedPancake that I put into the StressEliminator. It’s a sickness, it’s the only way I know how to do things.

Just because I haven’t been physically working on it doesn’t mean I’m not planning, scheming and designing. Engine should be on the dyno this summer unless our house sells first; that’ll throw a wrench into things.

I love the knowledge on this site. Continuing to learn every day.

Today, we mounted the cleaned up/polished parking light assemblies with new housing gaskets on the 66 Coupe. We also mounted a new front panel emblem on the Coupe. A little at a time on the Coupe.

I got new 205/60 15 tires yesterday. Much smoother riding than the old tires. The old ones had tread, but were made in 2001 according to the date code. I found one was slightly misshapen recently while under the car adjusting the clutch.

Back to work on old yeller. Entire dash dismantling. Converting the Corsa dash to LED, new glove box, remote antenna trigger, etc. Took the dash apart today, you can really tell its a low mileage car, never been out.

Sanding off the paint. The paint had started chipping off in spots, and the trunk lid was a diffrent shade of red. Im using a Porter Cable Restorer to get the bulk of the paint off. It works pretty good, takes some time though. A door took about an hour, and it can't get into some of rhe curves.

Hi Gang,

Spent a few hours yesterday cleaning up the Corvair and getting it ready for the spring, summer (maybe... depending on how hot it gets), and fall driving season. I didn’t know how nice I had it in Arizona where I could easily drive it year round and not have to worry about winter. I’m going to change the oil today and then go for a drive. Weather in this part of NC is forecast to be wonderful today.

It is mostly solid, I found a hole in the floor pan under the rear seat, and some more serious rust just in front of the rear passenger side wheel well.

Shuffled the '61 around in storage today.

Only moved it about 20ft, but it's something.

Some rust holes under the rear seat in the floor pan. Cut out some bad metal in a spot underneath just in front of the rear passenger side wheelwell. Not sure how im going to fix that.
