Completed the bleeding and adjusting of the brakes. Pedal is back where I expected it to be.

Adjusting emergency brake cable to get handle with less throw.

Time to start on PG shift cable replacement.

We got the tunnel pans off. Disconnected cable from transmission and free from clamps in tunnel. Instrument panel is removed and selector removed from panel. Dang, easy to get panel out with steering column not in the car. Removal of the light switch and wiper switch bezel nuts went easy with the Russell Davis bezel nut tool he makes.

Selector is in the house. I am replacing the neutral safety switch due to flaky operation of the switch (proven by ohmmeter).

Too hot in the carport to keep going. Only got to 96 today, but the metal carport felt hotter, even with a 36" fan blowing.

NOS neutral switch installed and ohm checks good. Took apart original switch and found dark bronze contacts. I will clean it and reassemble. Keep for a spare, if needed.

Installed clock into Monza dash. Added wire to panel harness to power clock. Added wire to fuse block harness. Determined that harness up to panel was routed incorrectly. Corrected harness routing, then added clock power wire to fuse block harness connector and routed wire to fuse block.

Removed toe panel. Removed leaking PG cable from cabin. Installed replacement cable into the cabin and up behind instrument panel. Cable was modified with adhesive heat shrink over the leak prone area.

Rear tires/wheels installed and lugs tightened. Hub caps installed.

Was only 80 in the garage when I started. Installed the front suspension in the coupe. Mortite blobs on top of cage nuts kept them from tilting when trying to thread the bolts.
First 3 on one side were easy, peasy but the other 3 required the crossmember be forced to one side w/ a drift under tension while the bolts got made up. Tricky w/ one person. Worked it out though and no cross threads! Garage was over 90 when I quit, about 98 later in the day but I was back in AC.

Actually drove it. After a very fight-y engine rebuild, it finally drives without completely falling on its face. Plenty of tuning yet to do, but this is a decent step.

Finally back on making progress on TurboTurd. I did a horrible job deflashing the heads 10 years ago. That is now done and Top shroud and crossover are back on. Maybe ill get to drive it before it snows lol

Overhauled the dash on my ugly rampy. The cab had been slathered in silver brush on paint and the dash in red some long ago time. It was really gross. So while I had the dash out to clean up I gave it some quick paint. Much more civilized now.

It is my understanding all FC apeedo’s Had the four speed shift indicator markings. That said I’ve been around very few PG FC’s. I’m fairly certain this cluster is original to this truck and it was originally an auto. I have an NOS FC speedo here. It has the markings. I’d happily be proven otherwise. One interesting note I had not observed before - the odometer lens is prism shaped so that you see the odometer accurately sitting higher up then you do in the car.

Tackled two needed tasks on my ugly rampy. First - When I did its gas tank the float looked ok. I was wrong. It quickly sank. So dropped the tank and put in a new float. Gauge works again.

Next was a really noisy UJoint. One of the ugliest I have ever seen. A new TRW and its nice and smooth.

Finally got the wagon running. De-flashed heads, bead blasted tins and painted, Cleaned carbs and adjusted...Runs great! Trying to get brakes bled now. Have to stop and regroup, had a rusted brake line to the rear cylinders (yes, even in Kalifornia we have rust sometimes). Installed new clutch cable, now going to check fluids and try to drive her this week around the ranch and maybe down the road!
