Just started resto of 66 Corsa Convertible. Hopefully today I get some parts and can work on it. Engine is rebuilt, working on carbs and everything else now. Bought car completely disassembled and trying to figure out how to put back together.

Finished mounting new seats. They came from a Mazda 3. Lots more legroom and adjustments, but now I'm working through the options for the seat belts. Outside is fine but the inside ones are a puzzle.

Thanks! Waiting for parts is what I'm impatient with, lol. As for working on the car I'm in no hurry. Got my new oil pan and engine wiring harness today so may install that later. I'm sure I'm going to need all the help I can get, especially with the carburetors. Had them rebuilt, but should be fun getting them installed properly and setup when the time comes.

I got this as a very cool project to have something to do. My wife has advanced dementia and requires me to be home with her. Can't get out much so life gets pretty boring. Figured this would give me something to do during the summer.

Bill, I like those speakers. They look period-correct.

Got my engine wiring harness, new oil pan and exhaust manifolds installed!

Only the entire rest of the car to go! But, looking to make it run first.

Changed leaky PG pan gasket on the 4 door survivor. Probably 25 years old, who knows...

Re-positioned the electric fuel pump behind the crossmember for protection.
Too exposed and too low in the original position.

Too messy for pictures.

Welded in a fabbed fender arch on the coupe, Front Pass Side. Forgot to take pics but it went pretty well for a hand fabricated part. Metal work is almost done and it's almost warm enough to start filling and finishing.

I moved the 95 off the driveway and into the yard earlier this week to avoid any potential damage that might occur while removing a few trees.

I had three old trees removed on Thursday as they were beginning to fail and drop limbs.

Because the '65 Monza is still without a suspension at the moment, I couldn't easily move it out of the way. Fortunately it remained unharmed.

I ended up with a pile of firewood for a co-worker to use.

Although this wasn't actual work on the Corvair's, I started cleaning up some of the vinyl siding on the garage area and did a little on the aluminum siding and cement block foundation on the house.

Now I can move the 95 Van back onto the driveway and install the new replacement cover on it. The one that was on it was turning green to match the siding and dry rotting after only two years.
I'll reassemble the temporary tent structure over the Blue '65 Monza to afford me some protection from the elements while working on it this summer.
I'll have a wee bit less shade now that the trees are gone.

Changed the oil & filer on Skyler, replaced the crush-able washer on the oil drain bolt/plug, tightened up most of the oil pan bolts.....no more oil leaks!
