I "think" the rear main in Gem might be leaking.

I will buy that (C11539) tool...at $29.60 a bargain.

No kidding. For the life of me though I couldn't find the correct open end wrench I needed...so I got in there with a rather large Crescent Wrench!

Even with my Caveman hands I could get in there.

Phil, go to HF, and get a puller kit. Will be local and have more uses in future. LOVE Clark's, but sometimes... Just my $ .02

Mike, I have lots of pullers but the special one from Blue Chip Machine - the one Clark's sells makes the job a lot easier.

Altogether I probably own twenty pullers.

BUT...I don't have that special Corvair tool.

Calling Clark's for HD rocker arm studs anyway.

Paulo is ready to assemble the racecar engine.

"Borrowed" the rockers off the sandrail motor.

Realized after our local Cars and Coffee last Saturday I had a fuel pump that seemed to be leaking around the gasket, even after retightening all the bolts. So pulled out the spare I always have in my tool kit and changed it out yesterday... Here's hoping this lasts a little longer than the last. Probably 2 years... On ethanol free 100 gas.

patched pin holes in floor boards with POR-15 sealant, replaced cable guide and foam under toe pan. Lubriplate to e-brake and clutch Cables/pulley inside car. (the clutch cable rattle when disengaged was really annoying).

Next up is removing gas pedal and floor shifter in prep for installing new carpet!

Noticed that the riveted crank pulley on my dad's 62' had a rattle to it. Seems the rivets had worn and it needed replacing. Decided to swap it out for a cast iron pulley compliments of Clark's used parts dept. Took advantage of our local tech session we held where I had plenty of help getting it changed out.

New main seal while I was at it and the rattle is gone!

I finally had a break in my schedule to replace my transmission mounts. On occasion while driving my van would jump out of 3rd gear. I replaced the engine mount a few weeks ago. Today I spent about two hours to remove and replace the mounts. A few pictures of my endeavors.smileys with beer

Final install showing the new mounts. Now I need to give it a good underside detailing. The new mounts make the rest of the area look dated.thumbs downthumbs down

Sold my NOS set of factory magcaps I put 500 miles on.and broke out my old set of wire wheel covers which were pretty dirty and nasty with faded 0Black backing plates..
Was going to completely break them down, clean them up, mask em off, and repaint The faded black with satin black....
After I got them all disassembled and clean I wondered what they would look like on the car without
