Found I had one incorrectly sized fitting for porting the vacuum to my MAP sensor, acquired correct piece today. Haven't cut into my existing hose yet so still good to drive tomorrow as missus needs my car.

Well....figured out, by the first commute/test run of the new air cleaners, that they are more than a little restrictive. LOL This revelation was evident by the sluggish movement off the line, as well as the "way more than normal" oil smell emiting from the heater vent, that when I lifted the engine bonnet, I was met with a gistening engine tin collection. (and no...I didnt paint them high gloss black) LOL Seems my pcv system was being utilized as a straw to try and get more intake. Sucked oil right up out of the top cover. 😲😲😲

So, lesson learned. Went back to stock this morning, and mopped up the mess. Back to the drawing board and message board. 😉

That's EXACTLY why I went back to stock. Vair acted like it had Emphysema!

Noticed an oil leak the other day. After snugging the oil pan bolts (which didn't seem loose), I discovered the oil filter bolt loose so I tightened it.

The colder temps we get down here are followed by much warmer daytime (30* warmer as an example). After scavenging one lower shroud thermostat and getting a set of rods (thanks Steve), installed & connected up the driver side warm up flap. The right side does not have thermostat so I fashioned a small bracket to keep it open "about that much". I was running the lower shrouds without flaps during the summer. This fix should help prevent the icing on the carb/intake.

Ken, not even going to be 37 here, enjoy the warmth! lol

Hoping to finish the quarter panel repair and get it in primer later today.

Took the Toy to a friends, ran some cooling system flush through it. No improvement, back of rear head still gets 40 degrees hotter than thermostat temp. Compared to another supercharged 3800 as sanity check, and that region should be about water temp.
So the supercharger and inlet manifold need to come off for inspection/cleaning.
The occasional joys of a water pumper!
But it does run pretty well for not building any boost.

I ordered some red, amber, and white LEDs for the brake/tail, front turn, and backup lights today. Once they arrive, I can install the new lenses I got from Azdave.
