Thanks, I do as well. I have even thought about raised white lettered tires to finish the look.

I changed the dodge colt disk brake setup on the front of my '63. I installed the colt setup in January and it was nice and worked very well. However I got a LeVair setup. The 63 has 15inch wheels and it was hard to see the colt rotors in there. The other major thing is the colt hubs move the wheel out about 3/8ths of an inch. Enough that it was causing some tire rub with the current wheels. So the colt setup will go to one of my other earlies with small wheels. The LeVair setup needs the bigger wheels to fit. So swapped the set up over. All went fairly easy since it had all Just been apart and the front suspension is powder coated. Looks good and drives nice so far. I'm sure I will be adjusting the master cyl and prop valve etc to fine tune.

power top on my 65 was only working on one side.

looking under the covers, so to speak, I found the two bolts holding the pivot arm to the body were MIA.

two bolts, a few adjustments, and a few squirts of oil here and there and appear to be set.

Bought a pair of "parts" cars, a '65 140/4spd and a '66 110/4spd. The thing is that the '65 is a Corsa. Looks like I'll be restoring a Corsa now grinning smiley

Went to a small show at the Murphy Auto Museum, in Oxnard Calif.

Really enjoy the attention my Dad's, "Daimers Rampside" seems to attract.

Mice small show.

Took the Corsa to a car show on the weekend and first time in a long there was another Corvair there. It was a 65 Crown conversion with a 327, hey Matt does it look at all familiar? Not the best picture but here it is.

Don"t post much, but do look in from time to time. It was good to visit with Greg and his wife last week, and thanks to Ken for bringing his Crown up from Calgary to join me earlier this year. Car is running great but still have some issues to sort out. Looking for a 3.08 ring and pinion and need to replace rad and fan. Thanks for the love guys!

After decades of procrastination, I installed a tachometer in the center hole of my Monza dash. I found a Bosch 3-3/8": [amzn.to]

My mistake was not testing it out before I pulled the dash, carefully installed the tach in the center hole, and re-installed the dash. Connected ground, power, and light wires to the tach. I ran a wire from the NEG side of the coil to the tach as instructed, started the car, and nothing. No reading.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The tach does have power - it illuminates with the dash lights.

So I think I'll get another tach and test it out before I try to install it.

Eh - after I posted the above message I went out and redid the red wire connection to the tach and now it works. The connecters supplied with the tach kit aren't the best.

Anyway, all I have left to do is run a permanent wire in the tunnel pan. That will be for another day.

Just got home from hauling in the Corsa, she is pretty much a lost cause :
But I ended up with a ton of parts, both cars are packed with early and late parts, quite a few things I can't identify as to year but clearly early Corvair. I'll have to post pictures of the bits I'm clueless about.

Almost finished overhauling the transaxle to convert my '64 vert back to a 4 speed. Bolted the flywheel the other night. Also going through the 3 speed shifter for it as well as the pedal assembly.
