I think that's been that way for 20 years.

I finally got my first EM! In part of a three car deal I got 2 1963 Spyder convetibles, a 1968 coupe with 180 4 speed, and a trailer. I have the car pictured at home. The other Spyder is sitting on the trailer now at a friends house, in Denver. The 68 was towed over to Allen Brunke's house/shop in Boulder to get it running and driving. I am also storing two cars in the background for a friend.

Drove the piss out of it like I do every day (over 88,000 on the fuel injection system).

I also got rear-ended by "snoop dog" and after I called the police, he must have remembered he had an appointment as left the scene in a hurry. Glad I got his tag as he was leaving.

Note: "snoop dog" slept at the county pound last night!!!

The trooper also told me...if you run from him, he will just arrest you tired.

I took my Corsa to Safelite to have the new windshield and trim installed. I was sitting in the waiting area when the tech came in an asked me if I wanted to repair the rust damage before the new windshield goes on.angry smiley Then I drove my Corsa, without a windshield, to the body shop.eye popping smiley
Then I called the muffler shop and told them I would not be in tomorrow for the new exhaust.sad smiley

After I got home from the Ottawa hospital, seeing the head of Ortho this morning; I watched more snow fall on the Corvairs and Ultravans outside. Sorry to report; That's it that's all.. GGG

I dragged the box from Corvair Ranch into my garage. It's a used floor center section for me to cut in.

It was yesterday, but I installed my carpet, put in a new rear package deck, put the seat belts back in, and the front and back seats. So much quieter with insulation under the package area and behind the seat.

It makes me feel like it drives and sounds like it did back in the 60's. It's about time. I'd been driving it with bare metal floors and nothing at all in the back.

Didn't do anything to mine today but spent the day at Pat Halls getting his 65 vert ready to come to my place for paint. We had previously installed a fresh 66 drivetrain, new convertible top and overhauled the wheel cylinders and replaced the master. Then the gremlins got us.Bleeding the brakes resulted in a very good pedal but only the right front brake actually worked. After some head scratching we replaced all the brake hoses, which looked fine but were plugged.Lesson for all.Unless you know for certain that the hoses are fairly new don't trust em.These looked good with no age cracks or any other outward signs of fatigue or leaks but they were still bad.Good news is we actually got to drive it and it runs sweet.Pat and Bill Reider spent a lot of time building this engine and it's just a joy to drive.Pulls like a mule from 1000 rpm in 4th gear.Only problem I have is trying to convince Pat to paint it something other than red.I already did his Corsa cp in red and he's got a red wagon so I think 2 red cars is enough. He has a very nice white interior to go in the vert so I'm thinking Maroon as a compromise. He gets a little red and I get a change of pace.Good news is his wife Vickie is on my side.So much for promoting connubial bliss.

I installed my right side front caliper, and started strapping down the piping.

Even though the pads fit in the caliper on the bench, I couldn't get them to fit after I greased them up and tried to slip them in after installing the caliper over the rotor. It took about twenty minutes of filing and checking to get a comfortable fit.

About half-a-dozen straps to go, and I'll be ready to charge the systems.

I *am* hurrying!

If you don't like this, I *know* you won't like my normal speed.

I strapped down a piece of brake tubing today. Two, actually.

That's a short piece of angle with a one-hole strap on top. Crude, but cheap.

I removed the fuel pump from that location. I'll put it closer to the tank.

Working on the '64 vert a bit after work. Running much better. Washed car and engine again. Cleaned the windows. Started installing a new radio. Waiting on a giant parts order to get here tomorrow for it.

Took my stock corsa speedo into Dick's speedo and tach (a phx AZ institution been in business 50 years) for odometer and trip odometer repair and calibration. Can't wait to have all my factory gauges working! Couple weeks and should be back on the road.

Soooo glad Clark's has reproduced this part:

For all of us that seem to run across a never ending amount of earlies missing their correct rear shrouds and seals. This came today along with a ton of new parts. Drove the '64 around a lot today.
