Continued under the front end of old yeller. Installed my new gas tank / sender unit. Gauge works good. Also pulled my kingpins out of the parts cleaner and painted them, cut one coil off my front springs. Now just waiting to get my front cross member and brake backing plates back from the sandblaster for paint and reassembly. Hoping for a test ride by end of Feb which will be the first time its been on the road since 1980....

Blew the spark plug out of the #5 cylinder on Sat, installed a timesert. Today finished re-jetting the Weber and setting timing. It pulls very strong now.

Got my front end back in. Very productive day in the garage (except for the wrong front brake hoses from Rock Auto). She still sits a bit high in front but I have no interior or the trunk weights back in. Just cut one coil off. Drive train pretty much done!

That looks like my 80 HP #2 exhaust seat. Which one failed on yours?

Finally got the sheetmetal for my Evening Orchid vert engine rebuild rounded up and off to the powdercoater. I set a goal of March to get it done by but I have gotten behind!

Actually what did I do to my Corvair this week. Took some time off old yeller to prep my black turbo for spring. New rear main, changed idle jet in the Mikuni, nylon bushings in swing arms. I've never had a "bullet" on my turbo but I finally installed one I got off eBay last year after fixing one of the tabs. Looks good!

Making space in the garage to get back on this. I put it on the back burner to restomod a 1987 23’ Eliminator Daytona over the last 5 years.

If the car turns out as nice as the boat it’ll be phenomenal.
