Nice! thumbs up
Now you need Black door panels and carpet to help tie them into the rest of the interior.
They appear to be pretty high, or is that an optical illusion?

Replaced left muffler on my '66. I fabricated my own rubber support out of a very large water hose. Fabrication took several hours to get it just right.

This afternoon I worked on a minor oil pan leak on the Fitch. just tightened a few bolts that were not torqued correctly during my last rebuild.

On the way down to VaitFest Gem's fanbelt rolled over.

Turns out the pivot bolt for the idler pulley was gone.

Pulley moved up on the adjustment stud...loosened belt

Found stock as possible bolt rolled the fanbelt back.

Tightened everything back up and it's good as new.

Sold it! Was fun and I want to thank everyone on this forum, especially Steve Goodman, for all the help getting this running. It was a lot out of my comfort zone and not really practical for me but was fun working on. I did get to drive around with the top down for a little bit and that was a kick.

Take care everyone, enjoy your rides and have a great time!

Read the manual, several times, regarding adjusting the convertible top to close and lock properly. No luck in figuring out what to do and posted a thread for help.

What's causing the overheating?

I got the last wire wheel cleaned. It has more pitting than the rest. Also noticed that the car is missing the chrome trim that goes over the wheel area on the passenger side and the Monza emblems over the Spyder emblems on both sides. More pics in my "Selling Spyder" post.

Rebuilt the 60-63 short shaft steering gearbox today. Also installed the right rear axle assembly and its brake parts. I need to blast the drums and paint them next prior to installation. Then brake adjustment the rears and entire system bleeding.

Finished installation of emergency brake cable on both sides. Just need adjustment now.

Installed right driveshaft.

Just finished the suction bleed of the brakes. I don't like the pedal travel, so we will do the pump and hold bleed this afternoon. Hopefully it will improve.

Well the blower bearing was making some noise so I decided to change it. Everything went as planed taking things apart. some oil leakage from the PVC tube from the cover but not bad. cleaned the dust off the cover and found that someone had cracked the cover probably replacing the bearing and soldered or glued it back together. The shaft was still solid but I didn't want to heat it and have it melt. So started looking through the stash, found 2 - 3/4 shaft covers and 1 - 5/8 cover. Needed the 5/8 so cleaned it up and installed it. Put on the blower cover , all the bolts in and oops! forgot to put in the PVC tube. Well at least I had all the correct size sockets right there. took it all back apart and started to reassemble. To be continued.
