Mine overheated and quit about 6 months after install. That was many moons ago
when I lived in Virginia. It was mounted on the rear frame rail near the backup light.

It seemed like every British car in SoCal had one back in the day. I've run them with no issue. Hotter spark and the points lasted almost forever. What's not to like?

The DELTA was built in Grand Junction/Delta Colorado. The big feature was points would live a long time as Craig noted. The refined model had an off/on switch. I installed one on a customers car in the early 70s. Next time around I was messing with something with the key on and the DELTA would make a whining sound so I pushed the button and turned it off. Of course I forgot to turn it back on so the engine was running without it for the next several thousand miles. When the customer brought it in for something or other he was bragging about how good the electronic ignition was doing and I realized it had been turned off. I turned it back on before the car left the shop and never told him about the 'off' time. In other words, it did little except for point life.

Sincere regards, Steve

I had one that I swapped from car to car, wayyyyyyy back in the 1970's.

Points did seem to last a lonnnngggggggg time.

After pertronix conversion kits became popular, I stopped using it and left it in one car, a fiat 124 spider cvt. I sold that car to a college buddy who never commented on the mark 10; so I assume it worked ok the whole time he had the car.
