I have a dash from 63 Corvair Spyder. It has 4 instruments in it. It has temperature for cyl. head top right, The speedo has orange needle and all of them are orange. It has manifold inches hg. instrument and gasoline gauge at bottom right. The only thing that is missing is the tach. Any ideas on price ? It is the same dash that is in the top pic.

end thee tup cip is ware? Sounds like it is worth whatever you can get for it.
Does it have an ignition switch with key? Any pitting on the brushed aluminum? Do the remaining existing gauges work properly? Do you know the history? I hope this is helpful on the value to you.

Think he is looking for parts to complete the dash,,so maybe he wants a Tach?

It seems an average price for a Spyder dash in average shape is around $100. There was a guy that had one in Sturbridge NOS IN THE BOX (when's the last time you saw 1 of those) and I saw him sell it for $600. Probably was a very good deal.

I found a tach on Ebay recently to complete my Spyder dash. if you cannot find an original tach, a RAC tach is very close to the same sweep and has a 60's looking face, you will just have to adapt it to the back of the dash. A swith inside the tach will allow you to switch to 6 cylinders( if its not a dedicated 8 cylinder tach). You may want to try Clarks or another vendor listed on this forum for a used tach. I never noticed before, about the tail of the dragon.

Did you do it in your corvair? My son and I road it several times, over a long weekend, several years ago.

We did it on motorcycles. He went to a group ride for Hayabusa, and to meet guys he talked to on their forum. It is definitely a road to remember.
