Rampside VIN

Hi Everyone,
Back to my rampside, needing to get it registered from PNO and my vin
(1R126S111485) doesn't match what is stamped in the frame (S111246).
Since it was sold as a lein sale, I don't have a pink slip.
The DMV needs a CHP to verify the VIN. Should I accidentally remove the number from the chassis, or how picky is the inpsection?
