() Date: July 29, 2012 09:44AM For those with nagging questions on what tire/wheel combinations work, check out this tool, Wheel Fit Test Tool: [wheelworksinc.com] The tool is pictured in frame #2, I spotted this on Spike TV, Trucks Show this morning and I imagine some of the more enterprising machinists on here could make a similar device. It of course requires the "prospective" tire but gives you an opportunity to check out rims widths and offsets. Starts at $319. jimc 1965 Corsa, bodywork/primer in progress Re: Last Word in Tire/Wheel Fit Tools? Posted by:

Yipppeee for you .. do you now expect us all to read the FAQ's before we post anything. Maybe you don't mean it to be snarky, if not you need to learn how to right a bit more nicely. Of course I could have just said Matt Search here for feedback on your writing cause I know people have criticized it before. Jim, thanks for posting looks cool. ![]() ![]() Re: Last Word in Tire/Wheel Fit Tools? Posted by:

() Date: July 29, 2012 11:47AM For $319, I'd rather rent one. Great for a shop, but a little pricey for the common man. Tom Allen Lakeland, FL Just Another Day in Paradise ![]() 1964 Studebaker Daytona - 289 4BBL, 4-Speed, A/C Re: Last Word in Tire/Wheel Fit Tools? Posted by:

Jim, the FAQ here is a dissaster. Links are jumbled all over the place with little/no organization in the thread, don't worry about it. The only bad question is the question no asked. ![]() -------------------------------- Ronnie Southern Maine. www.dirigocorvairs.net 66 Corsa Convertible, 140, 4sp. 65 Monza Convertible, 110, PG. () Date: July 29, 2012 03:57PM I made a tool to check different tire sizes on a wheel. I got the tire deminsions from a tire website and made a cross section template to fit the wheel width. Put the weight of the car on the wheel and slide the template around the wheel. ![]() Don Southlake, Texas The Trunk Belongs in Front, Ask Any Elephant Caution: Images in This Mirror May be Waterpumpers Re: Last Word in Tire/Wheel Fit Tools?
