Why so many Red Vairs?

Mine needs a new paint job. Thinking Black, Or mid night blue.. But I am not really sure about that. I like my red...

I think it's the extra HP you get from red that makes it so popular.

I suppose that Red is a more "emotional" color. There are plenty of Red Ferrari's out there that attest to that. It does command attention.
Someone in the past changed my 1965 Monza Convertible from Sierra Tan (metallic Gold) to a Red.
The paint has failed completely and so it will be repainted. I like the original color scheme better!
No Red for me.

What color was the car when it left the factory? That is the correct color to paint it.

Well, THEY DON'T CALL IT "REASALE RED" for nothing.
There are so many RED convertibles out there I will never own one. At one time I had 5 customer Early RED convertibles lined up in my drive waiting for work!

At least my red is the factory correct color 
Although I did want a metallic bronze on it but the shop couldn't do it in a single stage so it wasn't in our budget.

I don't own any red corvairs at the moment but do agree that they look outstanding for early and late style, even the FC's. My taste is more towards the bright blues and turquoise, and even a soft spot for aztec bronze.

Just about every 65 corsa I come across was originaly red! I have a red convert in the driveway here for service,,Red was popular in 1965,,I wont own a red vair!

I think it may have been Larry Claypool that once said - there are currently twice as many red Corvairs as ever left the factory.
I have had the privlidge of 3 red corvairs.

33% of mine were re-colors!
Now RED INTERIOR...that is a different story. I love my red interior in my white convertible.

I didn't want a red Vair, I'm partial to the medium blue colors they came in, but red was the color the car I found was so I got it. I've learned to love it. Red vairs are purty.

Lol I had one vair in red a 64 vert originaly red. ive had three black vairs two 60s and a 62 they were originaly black.Seems like black wasent a very common color on vairs.
