so my friends homeroom teacher (at school) swears by it that she had a corvair with a gas tank in the rear and it had an explosion problem like the Pinto....she said they ordered it custom in 1962

Reminds me of this guy I knew in high school who swore that the Yugo was avail in rear drive as an option. Bet him $5 that it wasn't. 25 years on I'm still waiting on that 5 bucks. Wow, imagine how much I'd have if he paid, with the compound interest! Might could fill my lawn mower.

Is her name Mrs. Holland?

Trivia: Mr. Holland owns a Chevy Corvair throughout the film (Mr.Holland's Opus). The car at the beginning of the film is a 1961 model 500 (the base model with bench seats), but at the end of the film it is a 1964 Monza (the top of the line model, with bucket seats).
