() Date: March 07, 2012 02:40AM Clicking is LOW VOLTAGE.... or a bad starter motor solinoid. Have a Voltmeter? Read the battery voltage on it's POSTS while trying to crank. If it doesn't drop below 11 volts.. bat is fine.. Now move the test leads to the cable ends...if OK.. then to the starter solinoid. If all places read OK... then it's the solinoid... OR the lead to the "S" [ purple] on the solenoid has low voltage... put the "+" lead on the S terminal. Tell us what you find.. MODERATOR Somewhere between Sea Mountain and Coos Bay! () Date: March 07, 2012 02:50AM Knowing the battery voltage is a good starting point. What tests have you done so far ? John The thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death. Vortec powered Rampside. Sparta Michigan. Attachments: ![]() Re: engine wont turn over Posted by:

() Date: March 08, 2012 06:37PM Since your going to advanced auto make sure before you go that your battery cables are in good shape. If not you can pickup some new ones. Just a thought. Setterz54 Fulton,MD. ![]() ![]() Re: engine wont turn over Posted by:

() Date: March 11, 2012 08:34PM Sounds like it's not charging.. battery went dead again... Put a charger on the battery overnight at least.. they are automatic and won't overcharge... () Date: March 11, 2012 08:39PM My Corvair has 12.74 volts, my everyday driver has 12.68 volts. They both crank over at proper speed. John The thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death. Vortec powered Rampside. Sparta Michigan. Re: engine wont turn over Posted by:
