() Date: February 23, 2012 03:56PM The first time I saw a post refering to a Cave man car , I thought hmmm my car was stored in a cave for awhile,, but on further reading I've gleaned that it has something to do with early, 60 61 models,,, So I gotta ask, why the "Cave Man" moniker? Well in this case he did answer the question and added a grin to his comment about seeing the same inquiry just yesterday but we also don't want to make people feel bad when they have missed what is obvious to others. Wow! I think most things are read with more emotion than they where typed. Also, I often muse at the fact that obscure questions can tend to run in bunches. Junky Hurricane Utah. () Date: February 24, 2012 02:35AM The first time I encountered the term "Cave Man" with reference to owning a 1960 Corvair was back in the late '80's when I first met Dave Binnie. By that time I had already started my Cave collection nearly ten years prior. But nobody called me a Cave Man until I met Dave and his family at a Corvair event in St. Catherines, Ontario. Dave had the green 500 sedan from Harriston Motors at the show. Somehow I talked him out of it and then I was a Canadian Cave Man! I think the recent interest in the first year of our favourite car is great for the hobby. There can never be too many Cave Men in the club! - Caveman Pete Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. | ||||||||||||||||||
