It has imperfections so someone suggested a white or cream color but my interior is red/black so I really want to paint it black with red accents. But at the same time red would show less imperfections and I could just do black accents.....I can't decide. Advantages? Disadvantages? Discuss!

White shows the least imperfections. Black shows the most.
I have seen White with both Red and Black accents. Butttt the choice is yours.

What's the factory color? Remember when you change colors you have all the jambs, hood, trunk areas etc. Tons more work and $

Hahaha pink, no way. I like how flashy it is. Anyone have any pics of 65 corvairs with black,red or white paint with the accents i'm talking about? any other advice. I'm using tractor paint so....

Massey Furguson Red and if you have any left over my 65 Massey needs serious touchup er paint job.

What portions of the interior are red? The only thing that shows red in your photo is the piping on the seats. If the majority of the interior is white except for the piping on the seats and the carpet, I'd go with black and just get black carpet to match. You might even consider some red pin stripes to match the piping on the seats. All of the same comments apply if you choose white for the exterior.

A light silver would look good with red & black. Or two-tone black on top, & red or silver on the sides. Wouldn't show the boo-boos so bad

I'm not sure what color it is. I jusr saw it somewhere and realized it was close to the same color as mine. Mine is 1980-82 Mercedes-Benz China Blue.

I read about a trick in my Farm Show magazine. The guy wanted a black paint job but his body work had lots of imperfections, so what he did was took 1 gallon of black rustoleum and mixed in 1.5 cups of metallic silver aluminum colored rustoleum. He said the metallic black hides all the blemishes well and still appears to be black like he wanted.

I have not tried this but it makes sense to me. You could even mix the silver metallic into your red accents and tie them together. Here is a pic of my V8 car Black w/ red.
