Has to be an 'RR' block code to be a real A/C '66 Corsa. Only 50 made.

I'd love to see the body tag for that one!

The fit on the convertible top leaves something to be desired, but a rare option combo (if it's real).

Actually there were about 154 66' Corsas made with factory a/c. Mine is an October built car that is Aztec Bronze with an off white gut. It still has the RR block. I know of 2 that were stripped because I stripped them years ago. There is one other factory a/c Corsa convert in Houston. It is Marina Blue with a white gut and is striking.
I agree with Mike, what an ugly combination.

I am pretty sure that was an ugly color combo even in the 60s, and it hasn't gotten better with age.

I think Joel was meaning that there were around 50 AC Corsa verts since there are twice as many Corsa coupes built vs Corsa verts in 1966. Even if it was a 50/50 split that would make it around 75 Corsa AC Verts. Extrapolating from known data, we can get a rough estimate.

Total 1966 Corsas built: 10472
Coupes built: 7330 (70% of total)
Convertibles built: 3142 (30% of total)
Total 140hp Corsa AC engines built: 153

If the general two to one coupe to vert ratio carried over to AC Corsas Then:

30% of 153 = about 46 AC verts
70% of 153 = about 107 AC Coupes

Of course with such a small sample this could vary by alot, but either way these cars are super rare.

Does anyone know if any AC Corsas were built in the Canadian plant in 1966?

No A/C 'vairs ever built in Oshawa.

However, if the car was imported into Canada and first sold here by GM, then the build sheet info will be available from Oshawa.

Roy Buckridge of the Bayshore Club here in Jersey had an Aztec Bronze a/c Corsa convert about 20 years ago that I believe he parted out. So there was Atleast one other.

With all the black inside kind of makes you wonder what the original interior color really was.

+1 on seeing the body tag
