69 Chevelle SS 5-spoke ... 14X7 with 4.5" backspacing. The only disadvantage is the looming difficulties of getting 14" tires. BFG still has them, but choices are narrowing.

I like my American Racing 14" wheels, but they are no longer available; 15" are however, and I'm sure a tire with correct dimensions are easily available for them.

I like the Minilite Style .. 8 or 10 spokers

This is my Brothers's 66 Corsa. 14x6 Ansens in front and 14x8"s out back.

And I just discovered yesterday that Compomotive makes their Minilite style wheel in a 5 lug Chevy bolt pattern! (5x120.65mm)

(they dont have a pic of the 5 lug on their site)


They make them in 13" and 15" 5.5-9" wide, and a 14"x6".

I had a set of Western Minilite replicas... they were "uni-lug" (slotted lug nut holes to fit several lug bolt patterns. Installing or removing a wheel was a serious PITA (further complicated by the spinner). I'd estimate 10-minutes to install a single wheel. Never again for me! YMMV
