Foot note;

The whole battery bay is now my air box and everything you see is still less weight then a car battery.

Doing the exhaust now.

Can you post more info and pictures about the radiator location and pathway of the air?

Just get a photo editing app like PhotoPad or similar to resize the pics. Then just use the "attach a file" button above. Easy as pie!

Matt, my son will help me with this iCab.

Right now I have my head so far up the headers that I'm almost exhausted. The other lower vent will be this week and the last part of the cooling system.

Can't wait to see it on the road. You're going to love it!

Glad to see somebody else crazy enough to put the radiator sideways in the rear!

I originally mounted my rad in the rear, but I wanted absolutely no chance of overheating, even in 100+ * weather, in a traffic jam. That & I also figured the added ballast up front would be beneficial. So up front it went...It is also a copper/brass(heavy) 4 core Vette rad. Obviously I am not concerned with the original outside appearance anymore...

YEP CRAZY.

Years ago I had a v8 crown car, someone had a Honda radiator in the dam thing and it never overheated with the right movement of air.

Right about the front, my other crown cars had the same. All that extra weight of getting the coolest and the coolest also adds up fast.

One good thing about a side mount system is you can allway
add one to the other side. If needed.

Mine is in the rear for simplicity reasons mostly. Running those coolant lines to the front of the car and cutting up the front seemed like an awful lot of work for my very limited time.

It will take several miles and hot days of not overheating before I get comfortable with the idea really.

Jim asked for some shots regarding my 215 engine's height in the chassis - here they are.

The first is across the rear of the valve covers and down to the frame. The second is the distance down to the valve cover (below a yardstick bridging the engine compartment opening). Front = 7 1/2", Rear (shown) = 3 3/4"

My new crossmember didn't work out in this build, could not get the motor up inside the frame as show. I have a set of side mount ( Roadster Shop ) had some, a much cleaner look and that off set in the motor bay is easy to fix.

The new side mount are at the headers so things are good again. Have Aluminum instead of hoses, they cool fast the rubber, lighter and nice looking as well. The exhaust is all custom in house no tube bender. Have all the cooling system in place and maybe a dry fit in a week or sooner.

Lucky me,

I had found a old fiberglass front spoiler made by SCOUCE INK. This thing is brand new in heat shrink. Looks real close to the factory one but this one goes to the wheel wells and is 2" lower then the stock one.

After installing the spoiler a few times and looking how low my 65 corsa is. I had to do a little trimming, so I made the spoiler into a SPLITER and it looks real nice to. This will give me a little air under the and still kinda looks stock.
