() Date: December 08, 2011 07:09PM So one drives a Corvair to the National meet, pays registration AND HAS TO pay TO Park A CORVAIR IN THE CORVAIR PARKING LOT? Never heard of such goings on in the two other Nationals I attended, other car brands nationals that is. Re: 2012 CORSA Convention Update Posted by:

Curt, I don't know what you're thinking -- there is no such plan for the Sturbridge Convention. You can drive your Corvair to the convention, pay your registration fee, and park your Corvair in the parking lot at no additional cost. If you want to enter your Corvair in one of the shows, such as the judged Concours d'Elegance, or the people's choice Car Display, there is an entry fee for those events. But to park? No charge. () Date: February 12, 2012 07:05AM What Happened here? What a gross write up by the local rag!@ [www.boston.com] "Forty years ago, reliability wasn’t what it is today. Some of those early Corvairs had a penchant for having fan belts pop off pulleys. Then, as the brand rusted away with age, there was the occasional sight of a Corvair blocking traffic because the engine literally had fallen through its rusted mounts onto the highway." () Date: February 12, 2012 11:13PM Gross? Matt, it's great! The article contains the following two lines: "42nd annual convention to be held at the Sturbridge Host Hotel from July 25-28." and "Saturday will be the big day for local car aficionados. That’s the date for a giant Corvair-only car show." Ya can't buy publicity like that! The Boston Globe reaches an audience far great than our organization could reach. So the story has some inaccuracies. We can correct those AT the convention, because the basics of the convention -- who what, when, and where -- are correct. () Date: March 23, 2012 04:33PM It has been a while since we posted an update here, but there are newer entries on the convention blog. One concerns the CORSA Annual Meeting, the Ice Cream Social, and the Cobblestone Crossing concert. The newest one, posted today (appropriately since the Corvair Performance Workshop is taking place in Idianapolis this weekend), concerns one convention-goer's idea of suitable performance Corvairs.
