Seems unlikely that these would be a good idea, but after handeling one today I must say if it were less expensive ($65) it might be worth trying,,,
after all if it broke, you could just snap it back together

Or handle the 90 degree bend. Have personally used these over the years in special industrial applications. Most of the quoted features-advantages are a sales pitch... however... if you have a belt drive unit that the belt(s) are hard to get to... these will save a ton of down time.
