140 Distributor # 1110311???

I need some help identifying a Corvair distributor. I think it is from a 140-PG engine but I can't find my part number lists since the move back to Michigan. Help! If 1110311 is from a 140 with Powerglide any idea what it is worth? Rare? I also have the rest of the engine - but it is in bad shape. The crank may be okay if I can get the case halves split apart. One head has been removed and it looks like it could be re-built (no dropped seats evident at first glance). The other head is being a little more stubborn. Time for the hot wrench?

PM me with any info or interest in this beast. Thanks! - Pete "If it doesn't fit a '60 it may be For Sale" Caveman in Michigan

My "Junkyard Primer" says the #311 is for a 64-68 95HP PG. The #339 is for the 140 PG.

#339 is for a 66 140 PG

65 140 PG use the same #330 distributor as 140 MT

The vacuum, initial, and total advance is the same but the difference is the #339 advance comes "all in" 400 rpm higher than the #330. The 65 140 PG probably pinged so Chevy slowed down the advance rate for 66.

Matt is correct but let's all remember that the number stamped on the housing may only by a little bit of the story. To know for certain what you have take off the points plate and the weight retainer and look at the numbers stamped on the shaft plate and he points cam. The weights and springs are important too.

I find the internals are wrong most of the time anymore. Got to check every one , I have boxes of dizzy parts just so I can build the right one.
