Greetings! I have driven my '63 RedBrier almost 20,000 miles since I bought it almost 10 years ago, and it's time to replace the front seat for comfort and safety! I have installed over the shoulder three-point seat belts, but with the low-back seat, would they really do any good in an accident? I have a set of seats from a Bricklin (think safety!); however, you cannot adjust the seat back and I like to sit fairly upright. Darrin from Bethesda is VW Van-sitting for a friend in Alaska, and I definitely like the front seats in the VW Van! I'm looking for seats in the tan/gold color scheme. If anyone could weigh in with recommendations for new/used front seats for the RedBrier it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a million!

Have seen some installed over the years, however the FC seats are made to fit over the top of the wheel wells. The other than FC seats I have seen installed have all required hammering down the top of the wheel wells to accommodate the thicker seat frame of the from something else - seats. It works... but about all of them I have looked at shows the tires having hit the now hammeredlower wheel wells from bumps, dips or other driving conditions.

Look for Toyota vans in the junkyards. Some of them offered comfy bucket seats and they were FC.

Heres a pic of my old one. They would be worth measuring out.
