this is my next project a 1961 Lakewood,

Retired LE, and Retired Emergency Manager, have in the stable a 1957 4 door hardtop Belair, 1964 Impala, 1964 Ford Ranchero, 1986 ElCamino, and 1989 Corvette, all very nice drivers, all get a turn around town when we feel like it. Come to Sunny South Dakota and see the most famous rock group in the United States, what and where do they reside?????? Post who knows who this rock group is. Wes

Does the Lakewood have a 64 rear suspension and 140hp engine and gas heater?

Been to Rushmore many years ago. Same trip as Carlsbad Caverns, Devil's Tower,Calgary AB. and Vanc. BC..

No the Lakewood is all 61, , Large 80 hp motor, 3 speed, and no gas heater, its all in pieces waiting to climb out of the dust pile and roam the streets. found some Monza bucket seats for the front, and a few other parts, may have to bring you the power plant to freshen it up, Have relatives in southern part of Denver so make a trip out of it someday,

Finally got a chance to get my grandkids together with my 1969.
The thing they found most fascinating was window cranks--they've never been in a car without power windows, or AC and the list goes on.

Dad and I "assuming the position" that was known throughout the whole neighborhood. Neighbors probably thought something was always wrong with our cars, as much as we tinkered with them. (Taken cir. '73-'75)
About the only thing wrong was a few years later, with my back!

Picture is 20-25 years old. Found in a junkyard, rebuilt in an Air Force hobby shop, Grand Forks AFB, N.D. 1976-78.
