As I have mentioned in some of the other threads, The '66 Corsa I bought from Caveman Pete was waaaay over my budget for a rust free convertible shell, but I was able to justify it by taking all the brand new suspension, motor, etc out and putting it all into my much needed sedan. I am not doing the motor and 4 speed conversion yet, maybe later this fall. I am however putting the gas tank, complete brand new front suspension, and the '66 steering box an column into the '65 Sedan. I will need to take my cut springs out of the old suspension and put them into the new suspension. Should have it back on the road by tomorrow! Pics or it didn't happen!

Speaking of 1965 Corvair race cars (we weren't, but who cares) Don Eichstaedt has rejoined the Detroit Area Corvair Club. His membership application says he has a 1965 Corsa convertible. I hope he shows up at our club meetings so we can talk racing.

Mission accomplished, new gas tank, steering wheel, 2 piece steering shaft, and steering box from the Corsa is installed, heater blower from the Corsa is installed, complete front suspension installed, put the cut springs from the old suspension back in, Corsa had quick steering arms so thats a plus! Got the alignment looking pretty decent, good enough to get it to a proper alignment rack. Tomorrow I will take the front wheels to a tire shop and have the new Toyo Proxes (205-50-R16) mounted! Good day in ManLand!
