Got a BBQ to go to this afternoon but I got done what I needed to. The car is in the booth, prepped, primed, and ready for the final wetsand tomorrow morning, then will lay color. Tomorrow morning will be fun!

Where is our LM Sport Sedan lover "rnch" while all this is going on? I am posting this especially for him!

that will be a schweet looking, sharp edged more-door monza when you are done with it!


having contrasted primed and blocked out a couple of cars; i know how time consuming and tedious it can be.

but once the color & clear is laid on; you will be quite pleased with all the grunt work you did prepping this car.

Sorry to keep everybody in suspense. Been working hard to get the car done before Saturdays car show. Ended up cutting 2 full coils out of the front and back springs to get her low like I wanted.

Saturday I will get better pictures when its in the sun, the paint is very very copper metallic-y and really sparkles in the sun. I had more dust end up in the paint then I would like to admit, I am having some paintbooth problems at the moment. Sanding out the dust doesnt help because it leaves little black spots. No clear here this is all single stage.

Long story short I will probably repaint it in a month or two once I get my booth issues solved. Especially now that I know it only takes about 3 hours to dissassemble the car.

I see you have zq8 wheels, 16", any issues with rubbing since the coils were cut?

No issues with just me in the car, loaded with 4 people it could be another story will find out Saturday. I cleared the fender lips to help with this issue.

Woohoo, can't wait to cut the rear coils on mine. That looks awesome. Too bad about the dust.

I had to put an electric fuel pump on the car about this time last year due to the mechanical one crapping out. I suppose if I bought that one I wouldnt have to worry about it any more.

Ron L, 2 whole coils front and rear seems to be the right height for me, I started with 1.5 front and rear but it wasnt low enough...

As of 8 pm tonight I have finished what I have started. In less than 2 weeks I completely transformed my sedan to a show worthy car with plenty of style. Time to kick back with a cold brew from that famous beer fridge!

It's interesting how much more a wheel upgrade from 13" makes a difference on a 4 door vs 2 door. On a coupe it's a wheel swap, on a sedan it's a totally different car. Kind of the same effect on the new Charger and Magnum sedans.
