And here I thought a 4-way flasher was a guy who opened his raincoat and spun around like a top grinning smiley

The last one I bought on ebay, also NOS, was under $20... Generic ones like this usually go for $20, give or take. Specific GM-Chevy accessory ones with plugs to fit bring $75-$175. $213 for this generic one is crazy!

Paid ~50 for a new Flare-Stat in the box about a year ago. Yea, this is a crazy price.

There are plenty of bidders on it, so it doesn't look like it's been shilled to me. I guess there is something about that Yankee flasher that we don't know, that they do, that makes it worth that much.

I too paid about 60 bucks for a Flarestat for the RS a little while ago, but this is not a Flarestat, is it?

That's the beauty of Ebay it can really establish the value of things.

What's a Flarestat? Is that the Original Equipment 4 way flasher?

In my understanding, the Flarestat 105 was the basis for the GM accessory flasher. The GM accessory had plugs that went into the turn signal connector and a custom-made bracket. The aftermarket version just had wire taps for the lamp wires. The other maker I recall is Signal-stat.

I don't think he is frickin' kidding.

A thing's "value" is only what someone will pay for it. ebay sets that.

I came in here from a Google link about Flarestat 105.

There are a number of 105 Flarestat models and I was trying to narrow down the field. I have a very nice Flarestat 105 that is a universall hook up with the barbs that spike into the original wiring. May be NOS.

I also have Flarestat 105 Y133 with 3 cresent shaped plugs, a Flarestat 105 with 1 pyramid shaped plug with 6 slots, and a Flarestat 105 Y119 if that means anything to anyone.
