I sure hope whoever buys it can finally finish it...

I hate cars like this... passed around due to misfortunes..

Ugly or not it is a great example 60's custom art work and needs to be preserved
as is and driving. The paint work could be saved with clear coat and areas repaired with vintage paint products. I think someone on here bought this car less than a year ago. If it were closer to me I would have a go at it.

Art, I already owned it once... my partner in it, had to move suddenly for business purposes and my Son , nor any friends could go fetch it for me...

He and I did make $$ on it...

Josh, MenaceCustoms bought it last year out of AZ... and it's his wife most likely with the ad... They also still have the 63 he was driving to school daily when misfortunes overtook him..

I'm with John, it needs to be brought back to life...

The Stig lusted for it.. but now he has other priorities..

Some cars are jinxed!

Look at the ebay seller's extremely LOW Rating. 94.4% pos is awful. Anything below 100% pos isn't acceptable given the number of ebay transactions in my opinion! As for trying to 'save' that monstrosity simply because its a "1960's piece of art/custom", and calling it historic, well that I guess is an opinion one could take, my opinion is that recycling it into the crusher/shredder would be the best option. Tasteless POS, regardless of what era it was done, or whomever the famous moron is that designed it.

I'm not sure I would trust the crusher. That thing has a way of resurfacing. For $200 I'm tempted to buy it myself and take the blue wrench to it.

I guess only us old farts can see the beauty in it. It looks like something George Barris would have created back in the day. I wonder if it only plays Beach Boys tunes.

Back when Menace Customs had it, I bit my tongue.
I guess I will continue to do so.

In an unrelated event, I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.tongue sticking out smiley

Lot of people may hate it - and I hate a lot of 'custom' stuff. But this thing is something you'll never see repeated. It charmed me and as Matt said I came very close to buying it multiple times -

Alas it never worked out. Now with a wife with twins on the way - All I am doing is moving corvair parts to storage, and bringing in car loads of baby gear.

That thing is like a bad penny. Man oh man someone buy it! gggg

Like it or not, it is a great example of the customs of the 60s ... even Ed Roth used corvairs in his customs.

I can totally appreciate the dedication and craftsmanship that goes into a custom project, no matter what it is, or whether I even like it...It has some really ugly/nasty mods on iteye popping smiley, but it also has some really cool mods.cool smiley With some(alot of) work, it could be pretty cool

I would surely give a couple hun to have it sitting in my garage, right next to my LM custom, too bad(or maybe a good thing) it is 1500 miles awaysmoking smiley
