Yesterday I finished up all the welding and grinding on the front grille surround lip & parking light pods -

So today I tackled the right bottom corner of the windshield frame. It actually turned out to be an easier piece to build than I had anticipated, 4 hours start to finish. That includes welding up the hood hinge mount. No english wheel,leadshot bag, or fancy mallets...








I have a bit of welding to do on the door top front edges

Decent gap -

All welded up

Tonight I'll play with this side

72 GS scoops for the cowl? Very nice looking low & long will fit over your vent one side only.

I have one wiper center mount on my 65 same as Jag, looks stock.

A scoop on the cowl vent ? You First, lol
So do you sit in the middle when driving in the rain(your wiper blade doesn't come very close to the edge of the windshield)?

I actually found making them kinda easy, just time consuming. But yes, it would be a good one to produce

No progress on the Vair for a couple of weeks, alot of fixing my motorcycle last weekend, and riding it, plus 2 days of boating on Woods Lake(very relaxing, mixed with alot of fun with the throttle GPS'd my boat, it is propped for exactly 50 mph with 2 guys,I hit a Wakeboard boats wake at 50 mph, and we were airborn That was REALLY cool !!! Yes, I have a deadman switch. On the way home, I stopped & took a few pics of a chopped van, what do you think of this -




Here's my bike for this year, I rebuilt the head, and different( now too high) handlebars. Note the DOT helmet

OK, I finally got to put a few hours in on my car, finished the LH lower windshield, played with a front fender body line intersection, and got the LH "C" pillar & drip rail welded back in



I saw this custom treatment on this forum, I like it, so -

As for the van - if it was chopped all the way back, I'd send you some money to buy it for me. That one is a love/hate kind of vehicle. You either love it or you hate it and I'm leaning to the hate side this morning. ggg

OK guys, an update(sort of)... It got really hot here, so I've been boating ALOT. After a day or 2 at the lake, I get too burned out to play in the garage but when I do I really enjoy my time there. I have now finished ALL the (main)body welding/rust repair Now I will do the door modifications - shaved handles(which I'm not really too keen on, but I'm doing it), leading edge where the door meets the A pillar, & 1 piece glass mods(Camaro glass, and possible all the Camaro regulator/workings). I should persue the rollbar tubing today, I tried to get aluminum tubing, but cannot easily source it. So, I'll be using mild steel...

I'm going to look at a 71 Vette today, for seats, or maybe the whole car.The guy says it has no motor/paperwork, and he just wants it gone

I'll be posting pics this weekend

I also worked on the front edge that had to be cut back to accomodate the raked A pillar, just needs a bit of finish shaping along the edge
