2 door hardtop EM?
Posted by: Twotone ()
Date: May 07, 2009 07:01PM

Someone mentioned here or on VV today, www.oldcarandtruckpictures.com, and I haven't been to that site for a year, so I checked out the Corvair page. The first picture is a 1960 coupe 2 door hardtop, no B pillar. ( no, I don't want to start a coupe, sedan, roadster, hardtop war.) It looks like a period correct photo. Prototype maybe? It looks great!

Probably doable with mix of custom glas and vert parts.

It appears that GM made several prototypes and fiberglass design studys of the Corvair.

I am still looking for a pix of a 2 door C dan prototype... May have been called a 300

Anyone?

Curtis, I saw that too, but it's hard to tell with the trees and shadows in the background. That "pillar" appears to have a slight angle, not like the real thing. Whatever it is, I think it looks great, almost like a slight top chop.
