P.S. I was there that thurs to possibly bid on one of the GM sell off cars, theres a black TWIN engine (almost 600 hp)1990 citation concept car there, look up bid lot 118.
Something happened and that car along with a bunch other GM sale cars were pulled from sale, right out of line in front of meangry smiley

Well, the wagon is a repost, but that's cool. As for the GM cars, Greg Jackson said they just sorted that issue out, and they will be selling tomorrow.

Repost? it was just yesterday, I must have missed something.

What was that "issue"? They wouldn't tell anyone what happened while I was there.

Ed, that is an awesome collecter! Twin 2.8's AWD...

Hopefully the lack of paperwork will keep it cheap! Hope you get it!

The VIN had been sawed out by GM before the sale, I wonder how that could be fixed... wait , don't answer that!

I am afraid I missed the car,I worked today and lost track of when it was going to be auctioned (because of the NTHB chaos) it went a bit over my budget anywayspinning smiley sticking its tongue out\

Ed,

Did it have a stock suspension?

It looked really good for sitting so low....

Unfortunately I did not get a good look under it, BUT they did announce it was a 990? Concourse point show winner if that helps at all.

Phil... Lucky that Twin engine Citation got by me, so far thats the only car that has interrupted my feelings for Vairy.

>>announce it was a 990? Concourse point show winner<<

Beats me how they can come up with that, when it is put together with trim from a variety of years.

The custom tail lights and lack of license lights alone should label the car as a custom, not a concourse car.

It is a nice looking car, but.

That is the kind of buyer, every car seller is looking for.

Ed I saw the Citation in the action bill. My Mom had a X11, it is the first car I remember riding in as a kid. I wonder what happened to the cars that got pulled??

Here is a brief summary of the issue with the GM cars:

GM Cars Back for Sale at B-J

West Palm Beach, Florida: The following statement was released by Barrett-Jackson this morning: "The Acting Administrator of NHTSA, Ron Medford, has communicated to Barrett-Jackson that previous issues concerning the sales of the GM Collection have been resolved and all sales can go forward."

Reportedly, negotiations between GM, Barrett-Jackson and NHTSA led to an agreement, emphasizing that the cars being sold on "salvage" or "not able to be registered for the road" status were under no circumstances to be registered for road use.

Midway through Thursday's collector car sale, representatives of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) forced Barrett-Jackson to stop the sale of certain cars from the GM Heritage Fleet, due to concerns about buyers attempting to register non-qualifying vehicles for street use.
