bad luck on wheels.

well i got a 63 monza and those have the 4x4.5 lug pattern..

ever since i was a little kid, i have loved the famous rally wheels.

and well i am almost done my restoration on my vair so it was time to buy new wheels. because the old ones could not fit properly on the front because of the new disc brakes i installed.

so i started looking and i found out there were no rally won 4x4.5 so i order some from stockton wheels about a month ago... custom

i received em yesterday and came with the wrong patter... 5x4.5

and i had told em 4x4.5 many times when i placed the order. sad smiley

so right now i have two rallys sitting on my garage that dont fit my vair.

I'm assuming those are a dual pattern 5 lug, 'cause if they only 5x4.5 you'll be needing a LM Mustang, not a Corvair sad smiley

lived in stockton most my adult life, im sorry you dealt with Stockton Wheel. Cut your losses and try early wheel co. in Morro Bay, Ca. or rallyamerica.com

sometimes lessons cost $$$$$$$$$

Good luck.

As above, why wouldn't you redrill for 5 bolt? What's the scoop on the disc brakes? a kit, or home-cobbled?
I lke the Pontiac Rallye 1's, similar, but kinda' like a Halibrand. Fluted slot...

well i bought the kit on ebay... it was custom fit with my spindles...

and i thought i was going to be expensive to re drill for 5 bolt because i didnt know how to do it... when i started this... but by now i am almost sure it would've been cheaper to do that... i already pass the point of no return lol

Funny, I had always heard good things of Stockton wheels. I had a set of rims widened by them years ago. I know a lot of guys who bought hot rod wheels from them.
Really? They won't take them back since "they" made the mistake?

Just like anything in life, you can get good with bad and visa versa. I would advise anyone that wants to do business with these guys to do some research first.

Very good. They have been around for a long time. I'm glad things are going to work out in the end. Bummer that it didn't work the first time.

I didn't think you were talking bad about them, but those other sites - people are bashing them.

Oh well. All in the life of a cool vair.
